The album was recently awarded the Silver Disc Award in Japan's Jazz Critique Magazine (as selected among international releases by the top jazz critics in Japan), as well as a nomination at the 2023 JUNOs. I share these honours with you and your musical excellence.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Maestro Penderecki. We will always be grateful for his music, humanity and mentorship. His warmth, curiosity, sense of humor and singular voice will continue to inspire us throughout our musical lives. (Not only was it a very satisfying performance by all concerned, I am pleased to note that I had a little bit to do with instigating the event. A couple of years ago I received a recording by the Copenhagen String Quartet of their cellist Richard Krug's arrangement of Winterreise with bass-baritone Johan Reuter. I wanted Daniel Lichti to know about this new transcription and sent him my review. I was pleasantly surprised earlier this fall to receive an invitation to his performance with the PSQ.) The composer Krzysztof Penderecki was awarded with the phonographic Grammy award in the category “Choral Music” for the album “Penderecki Conducts Penderecki.” The award ceremony took place on the night of Sunday to Monday in Los Angeles.
